Australian shepherds as
“sacred   spirit   dogs;” 
the  copper  patch  over  the
eyes  represented  the  sunset,
the white paws, the morning light.
Accordingly, the significance of these
markings were to protect their people
day and night for as long as they lived.

Today we need to reach out to the sacredness of
not only Australian shepherds but to all of man’s best friends.
